Eamonn O’Neal

Eamonn is the Chief Executive of St Ann’s Hospice, which has three sites across Greater Manchester. Prior to joining as CEO, he was chairman of trustees at St Ann’s. Previously, he was Managing Editor of the Manchester Evening News and Group Managing Editor of Trinity Mirror’s regional newspapers and websites across the country.

His media career includes having been a presenter, Director of Broadcasting and Head of Regional Programmes with Granada Television and Executive Producer of ITV’s network daytime programming. He continues to present programmes for BBC Radio Manchester.

He has a B.Ed in special educational needs, having started his working life as a teacher. He has an MSc in management and was awarded Doctor of Arts from the University of Bolton in recognition of outstanding contributions to the media and charity.

Eamonn is a Deputy Lieutenant of Greater Manchester.
