#TeamHighSheriff Lead Young Person Ambassador
My name’s Daniel Rimes and I have worked with young people for about four years. This has mainly been through the Manchester Youth Council.
In this time, I have been a representative of Manchester as one of the Members of Youth Parliament for the city, represented young people in high-profile meetings following the arena attack – such as a talk with Prince Charles and at the full council meeting- and, most recently, joined the UK Youth Parliament Procedures Group to represent the North West members of Youth Parliament nationally.
In my time being involved with youth work, I love networking and building bridges between decision makers and young people. This has allowed further representation for Manchester’s young people and therefore allowed their voices to be heard in places where they’ve rarely been heard before.
It’s therefore my great pleasure to be joining Team High Sheriff and working with others to allow young people to feel the true magnitude of the positive contributions they make to society, as that recognition and showcasing of work will only better the contributions they make in the future.
